My friends and I made up a new game based on Telephone Pictionary. It’s called Telephone Comics.
You simply take a comic strip like Rex Morgan, M.D., white-out the words (you can use photoshop, paint.net, picnik, plain white-out) and print up enough blank copies for each person in your group. Then each person fills in the first speech balloon and passes their comic on to the next person.
After the second person fills in the second speech balloon, they use a sticky-note to cover the first balloon so that when they pass it to the third person, they can only see the most recent balloon (this is how it’s like Telephone).
Repeat the process until all the balloons are filled and a hilarious story is complete. If your comic is particularly hilarious, send it to me and I’ll post it here.
How to Play
for people who don’t like to read paragraphs:
- White out the words of a comic
- Print up a bunch of copies
- Pass the comics around the table with each person filling in one speech balloon each turn, using sticky-notes to cover all but the last completed balloon.
- Revel in your collective hilarity.
